About Us
Dr. Caroline Kriekenbeekreceived her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of British Columbia in 1991. She continued her studies at the University of California, Berkeley to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1995. During her education, she completed clinical rotations in eye disease at the Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii and at the American Lake Veterans Administration Hospital in Washington. Since returning to B.C., she has practiced in optometric eye clinics in Williams Lake, Richmond and New Westminster.
In the spring of 2001, Dr. Caroline Kriekenbeek opened her own practice - Dunbar Eyecare Optometry to serve the communities of UBC and Dunbar-Southlands. She welcomes all new and previous patients.
Dr. Kriekenbeek is a member in good standing of the British Columbia Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists.
Dr. Janey Yee holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Optometry/Pre-Health from the University of Waterloo. She continued at the University with her Optometry degree and completed her Ocular Disease and Therapeutics qualifications at Credit Valley Eyecare in Mississauga, Ontario.
Shortly after graduation, Dr. Yee worked in Ottawa, Ontario before moving to Vancouver in 2006. Since coming to Vancouver, she has practiced in a variety of clinical settings to gain experience in every aspect of the profession.
Excited about Optometry’s expansion into ocular therapeutics, Dr. Yee looks forward to providing her patients with full scope optometric care.
